It’s a brand new month, and you know what that means. New Netflix original shows and movies are on the way! On top of that, the streaming giant is also bringing a bunch of exciting licensed content to its platform throughout August. In fact, Netflix added a highly underrated licensed series to its library just yesterday that is perfect for those who are big fans of Anna Kendrick or simply enjoy lighthearted, heartfelt rom-coms. Can you guess which show it is?

If you guessed the romantic comedy anthology series Love Life, you'd be right on the money! Kendrick might be more known for starring in movies, but she also has a few notable TV roles. Her lead role in Love Life is one of them, and many people surprisingly haven’t discovered it yet. If you're one of those people, now is your chance to catch up on this charming and relatable series.

However, it's also important to mention that Love Life will not stream on Netflix forever. Given the fact that it's licensed content and not a Netflix original, its availability on the platform is temporary. It all depends on the licensing agreement between Netflix and the show's distributor, which is Lionsgate Television. We could see this show stream on the platform from anywhere from a few months to a year or more before it is removed. As of right now, it doesn't have a departure date. That said, it’s wise to start watching sooner rather than later.

Love Life is a former HBO Max show that was created by Sam Boyd (Tell Me Lies, In a Relationship). The best way to describe your experience watching this rom-com is that it’s like taking a front-row seat to someone’s messy, beautiful journey through dating and discovering what love truly means. There are two seasons of the show, and each one follows a new protagonist as they try to find connection and meaning in their romantic lives.

The first season centers on Darby Carter, played by Kendrick, as she experiences the ups, downs, and awkwardness of dating in New York City. The second season shifts its focus to Marcus Watkins, portrayed by William Jackson Harper, who embarks on a journey of love and self-discovery while coping with the challenges following a tough breakup. Also in the show's cast are Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compère, Jessica Williams, Comedian CP, Punkie Johnson, and many others.

Below, we shared the official trailers for both Love Life seasons 1 and 2.

With there being only two seasons, Love Life is the perfect show to binge over a weekend. Maybe you can turn it into a whole fun event by inviting friends over and hosting a mini watch party. That would make the experience even more enjoyable!

Love Life is now available to stream on Netflix.
