Unchosen is one of the hottest Netflix shows released this spring. Millions of viewers around the world have already binge-watched the six-episode series, and now, they need something to watch next.

Well, I’m here to help! I’ve seen a lot of cult and cult-like Netflix shows, and there is a pretty good selection for Unchosen fans to watch on the streaming service right now.

WAYWARD

Wayward

Wayward is the most recently released of all the Netflix shows on this list. The series premiered in the late summer of 2025 and was a decent hit.

Wayward has an incredible cast led by Mae Martin, Toni Collette, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Sarah Gadon, and Sydney Topliffe. When Martin’s character, Alex, moves to their pregnant partner’s wired hometown, Alex begins to realize everything in town is connected to a mysterious cult run by Toni Collette’s Evelyn Wade.

Unfortunately, the Netflix original series was canceled after one season on the streaming service, but the mystery is largely resolved by the season’s end.

Devil in Ohio

It’s been a few years, but Devil in Ohio was a smash hit when it premiered on Netflix in 2022. Devil in Ohio is probably the most similar, in tone, to Unchosen, although it leans into more of the, well, satanic cult vibes rather than the oppressive Christian cult like Unchosen.

The Netflix original series tells the story of Mae, played by Madeleine Arthur, who escapes a scary cult in, you guessed it!, Ohio. She’s taken in by a psychologist, Dr. Mathis, played by Emily Deschanel, and her family. Unfortunately, the cult isn’t done with Mae yet.

Like Wayward, Devil in Ohio wraps up after one season on Netflix.

The Sinner - Season 4

The Sinner

The Sinner is a four-part anthology series that tells the story of Detective Harry Ambrose, played by Bill Pullman, as he solves interesting cases. Ambrose isn’t part of a cult or anything like that, but in his travels, he crosses paths with many members of cults and others from cult-like situations, especially in the second season of the series.

Each season, Ambrose investigates a different case. Most of these cases seem cut and dry, but there’s always something that doesn’t totally add up. And that's where Ambrose comes in. He and he alone have a way to cut through all the noise straight to the heart of the issue, but there’s always a cost to pay.

The Sinner is probably the best show on this list, so I would definitely recommend it to fans of Unchosen.

SEX EDUCATION SEASON 4

Sex Education

We have to include Sex Education on this list simply because of Asa Butterfield. This show is clearly his best role, so if you are a big fan of Adam in Unchosen, you simply have to watch Sex Education on Netflix.

Butterfield stars in the series as Otis Milburn, a teenager and son of a sex therapist who starts a side hustle giving advice to his classmates at school. That’s just where the story begins. It’s so much more than a show about Otis. It’s hilarious, but it’s also one of the most moving shows on Netflix.

You can watch all four seasons of the hit series on Netflix right now.

You can't go wrong with any of these shows if you like Unchosen. Personally, I would pick The Sinner or Wayward first if I were going for another cult-like series. Do not sleep on Sex Education. It's an incredible series, too, and Butterfield is so good.
