Worst: Best. Christmas. Ever!

It doesn’t seem like Netflix was really in the Christmas spirit this year because this year’s Christmas movie selection was horrible. I mean, the streaming giant barely released any new Christmas content. However, I was looking forward to watching Best. Christmas. Ever!. Why? Well, Brandy Norwood aka “the Vocal Bible” was starring in it among other talented actors. But unfortunately, I was completely disappointed in what I watched.

Christmas movies are cheesy most of the time, but Best. Christmas. Ever! takes the cake. It was so cheesy that it became cringe. I was actually surprised by the bad acting too. Most of the main actors in the movie such as Brandy, Heather Graham, and Jason Biggs usually give amazing performances in any project they do. But it’s like their acting skills went out the window for this film.

Also, I had a feeling that Brandy would sing in the movie since she’s a Grammy Award-winning singer, but how it was handled in the film seemed so random. In my opinion, the random singing scenes didn’t flow well with the other scenes.

And I hate to say it, but there wasn’t really any chemistry between the actors. The plot was already boring, but the actors couldn’t even make the story believable because the chemistry wasn’t there. It definitely showed. If you want to watch something good this Christmas, we recommend skipping over Best. Christmas. Ever! and finding something else on Netflix.

Here’s the movie’s official logline via Netflix:

"Every Christmas Jackie sends a boastful holiday newsletter that makes her old college friend Charlotte feel like a lump of coal. When a twist of fate lands Charlotte and her family on Jackie’s snowy doorstep just days before Christmas, she seizes the opportunity to prove her old friend’s life can’t possibly be that perfect."
