Meg 2: The Trench is coming to Netflix in December 2023! Here’s when you can start watching

Meg 2: The Trench was released in theaters in August 2023. Now, it’s scheduled to be released on Netflix this December. We shared the Netflix release date and more below.

Meg 2: The Trench is an action film helmed by Ben Wheatley from a screenplay co-written by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, and Dean Georgaris. It’s also a sequel to the movie The Meg, and based on Steve Alten’s 1999 book The Trench.

Set six years after the events of the first film, Meg 2: The Trench follows Jonas Taylor as he leads a daring research team on an exploratory dive into uncharted waters. However, their voyage spirals out of control when they come across a malevolent mining operation. Now challenged by massive prehistoric sharks, Jonas and his team must do everything they can to survive.

When is Meg 2: The Trench coming to Netflix?

The action film is slated to arrive on Netflix on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023. Netflix usually drops new movies and shows at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on their release dates, so this will probably happen with Meg 2: The Trench.

I know some people are eager to watch the action flick and can’t wait until it lands on Netflix. If you’re one of those people, you might want to make your way to Max or Hulu because the movie is currently streaming on those platforms. But keep in mind that you’ll need a subscription to these streaming services in order to gain access.

The only other way to watch this film is by renting or purchasing it through Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu, and the Microsoft Store.
