Mystery-thriller limited series might be a dime a dozen these days (especially on Netflix), but when they’re good, they are a must-watch. And that’s exactly what summer 2022’s sleeper hit Echoes is: a very good mystery-thriller limited series you must watch.

Michelle Monaghan stars in Echoes as Leni and Gina, twin sisters whose bond grew too dangerously close when they started switching places as children. In order to skirt trouble, they swapped places to blur the lines between them, and as adults, their switching scheme has only landed them in more trouble. When one twin goes missing, the other is left to pick up the pieces.

In all seven episodes of the twisty limited series, Monaghan delivers an incredible dual performance as both Leni and Gina, and Schitt’s Creek star Karen Robinson offers up her own captivating performance as Sheriff Floss, who’s determined to find the truth.

If you’re searching for a limited series to sink your teeth into over a weekend or want a low-commitment series to watch, Echoes should be near the top of your list. You’ll never see the twists coming, all the way up until the very last bait and switch.
