The Woman in the Window was added to Netflix in mid-May 2021. With such a good cast, it’s easy to see why people were quick to check it out.
The film is based on the book of the same name by AJ Finn, the pen name used by author Daniel Mallory.
The Woman in the Window tells the story of an agoraphobic woman with an alcohol problem, Anna, played by Amy Adams. Anna sees her friend and neighbor, Jane, murdered, and she tries to report the incident only to become tangled in a web of lies. She tries to figure out what’s really and figured out what happened to Jane.
While the movie is popular, viewers aren’t necessarily leaving the movie feeling very fulfilled. The Woman in the Window only has a 25 percent audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s not very good.
Unless you’re a fan of ridiculous, soapy mysteries and thrillers, The Woman in the Window is a skip.
