Hubie Halloween premiered on Netflix in the fall of 2020, and it’s the perfect Halloween movie on Netflix for those who don’t like horror movies. Hubie Halloween isn’t overly scary, but there’s a good mystery. There are the usual Adam Sandler jokes and gags like we see in other Adam Sandler movies, but there are some really good moments, too.

The comedy tells the story of Hubie du Bois, played by Adam Sandler, who loves Halloween but loves keeping his town safe much more. When weird things start to happen on Halloween night, Hubie tries to raise the alarm, but no one believes him. He’s left to solve the mystery with very little help.

As of right now, it doesn’t sound like Hubie Halloween 2 is in the works at Netflix, but it probably should be. This is one of the most popular Halloween movies on Netflix, and there’s no doubt the movie was a huge success for the streaming service.

Unless you really love Halloween movies or Adam Sandler, it’s a skip for Hubie Halloween for now. Around Halloween, expect this to flip from a skip to watch, though.

Verdict: SKIP
