Best Netflix movies - Kate release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more
KATE (2021) Mary Elizabeth Winstead (“Kate”), Miku Martineau (“Ani”) /

Kate

Release Year: 2021

Directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan

Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Miku Martineau, and Woody Harrelson

Kate, the new Netflix original action movie, premiered on Netflix on Sept. 10, 2021, the same day as Lucifer season 6. For a few days after the premiere, Kate was actually the No. 1 Netflix movie or show on the Netflix Top 10. That’s wild considering how popular Lucifer was!

Kate stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Kate, an assassin who only has one day left to live. How does Kate use her final hours? For revenge, of course.

Netflix has released some solid assassin movies, including Gunpowder Milkshake, and Kate is up there with the best of them. If you’re a fan of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, action movies, and assassin movies, this is definitely the movie for you on Netflix.

We know this movie won’t be for everybody. If you’re not a fan of action movies, you should probably skip Kate. With that said, it should be acceptable for the masses and those who are fans of the genre. Plus, it has Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Woody Harrelson.

Give Kate a watch on Netflix when you have a chance!
