The movie is based on the book of the same name by J.A. White. It tells the story of two kids who are kidnapped and trapped in an apartment with a scary witch. They are forced to write a scary story for the witch every day.

If you’re in the mood for a Halloween movie or need something a little scary to watch with the whole family, Nightbooks is the movie on Netflix for you. It’ll be interesting to see if Netflix orders a sequel to this movie. There’s potential for more, for sure!
