365 Days: This Day

Release Year: 2022

Starring: Anna-Maria Sieklucka, Michele Morrone, Simone Susinna, Magdalena Lamparska, Otar Saralidze

If you’re an avid Netflix watcher, you probably know what this one is all about. 365 Days: This Day is the sequel to the romance movie 365 Days, which came out in 2020. The films are based on the book trilogy of the same name written by Blanka Lipińska and have received a ton of criticism for its plot points.

The films follow a member of the Sicilian Mafia, Massimo (Morrone), who kidnaps a young woman named Laura (Sieklucka) and gives her 365 days to fall in love with her. The two ultimately form a romance and they even get married in the second film. Needless to say, people really dislike this trilogy, and it’s been compared to the 50 Shades of Grey series. 365 Days and 365 Days: 2 have been accused of promoting sexism, toxic relationships, and other troublesome topics.

Believe it or not, reviews say the second film is even worse than the first, scoring an impressively low 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

You’ll also find 365 Days on this list as another “skip.”

Verdict: SKIP
