The Out-Laws

Release Year: 2023

Director: Tyler Spindel

Cast: Adam DeVine, Nina Dobrev, Ellen Barkin, Pierce Brosnan, Blake Anderson, Lauren Lapkus, Lil Rel Howery, Michael Rooker, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind, Julie Hagerty, Dean Winters, and Laci Mosley

The Out-Laws is a new Netflix original action comedy. It premiered on the streaming service on July 7, 2023.

The Out-Laws tells the story of Owen (Adam DeVine) and Parker (Nina Dobrev), a bank manager and his fiancee who are getting married soon. Owen has never met Parker’s family, but when his bank is robbed by the “Ghost Bandits,” Owen starts to think that the robbers might be his new in-laws.

Overall, The Out-Laws isn’t that good, but it’s not particularly bad either. It’s a good summertime Netflix comedy, and it’s summertime, so why not check out The Out-Laws on Netflix? I’m a big fan of Nina Dobrev and Adam DeVine, and the movie is enjoyable almost exclusively for their performances.

If you’re not interested in silly, summer, action comedies, The Out-Laws probably isn’t the movie for you.

Verdict: WATCH
