Meet the action-hero party animals of Obliterated (full cast and character guide)

Hot on the heels of Netflix’s hit action series The Recruit, The Night Agent, and FUBAR, the streaming service adds another exciting, action-packed series to its ranks with Obliterated. The action-comedy comes from Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, though expect a little more of their American Reunion and Harold & Kumar work to come through in this one.

Obliterated follows the efforts of an elite team that’s assembled to prevent a terrorist attack in Las Vegas, and when they’re successful in stopping the bomb, they celebrate with some drinks and drugs. However, when they’re informed that the bomb they stopped was a fake and the real one’s still out there, the team has to rally in their party haze in order to keep Las Vegas, and the country at large, safe.

While you will definitely recognize a few faces in the cast from other shows and movies, many of the main cast members will likely be new. Shelley Hennig and Nick Zano lead the cast, which also includes Alias vet Carl Lumbly and The Outsiders star C. Thomas Howell. Get to know all of the cast members and characters!

Shelley Hennig as Ava Winters

Shelley Hennig leads the cast and the elite team as CIA agent Ava Winters. As the leader of the team, she calls the shots, no matter how much Chad wants to follow his own instincts. Hennig was born on Jan. 2, 1987, making the Louisiana native and former beauty queen 36 years old as of November 2023. After winning Miss Teen USA 2004, her first major acting role was in 2007 on the soap opera Days of Our Lives as Stephanie Johnson. She stayed on the show until 2011 and returned in 2017.

Nick Zano as Chad McKnight

Nick Zano stars as Nave SEAL team leader Chad McKnight, otherwise known as Mac. He’s a rowdy, raunchy, and confident action hero and a team leader who frequently butts heads with Ava. Zano was born on March 8, 1975, making the New Jersey native 45 years old as of November 2023. He got his start as an actor in 2003 in The WB sitcom What I Like About You starring Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth and has gone on to have a successful television career.

Terrence Terrell as Trunk

Terrence Terrell stars as Navy SEAL and Chad’s best friend Trunk. He’s super loyal and great at his job, and all he wants after this never-ending mission is some food. Terrell was born on Aug. 30, 1984, making the Mississippi native 39 years old as of November 2023. In 2019, Terrell won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series for his role as Kwasi Asamoah in Giants. He’s also a singer and works with Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, as a mentor for her Tina’s Angels and Richard’s Warriors organization.

Alyson Gorske as Lana

Alyson Gorske stars as Lana, a party girl the team meets during the mission. She unofficially joins the squad and comes in handy with her surprising insights and inside knowledge about Las Vegas. Gorske was reportedly born in 1996 and is currently 27 years old as of November 2023.

C. Thomas Howell as Hagerty

C. Thomas Howell appears in the series as the Army explosives technician Hagerty. He’s a bit of a legend and has some eccentric ways about him. As good as he is at his job, he likes to party just as hard. Howell was born on Dec. 7, 1966, which means the Los Angeles native will be turning 57 years old after the series premieres on Netflix.

Paola Lázaro as Angela Gomez

Paola Lázaro stars as Angela Gomez, a Marine sniper and an all-around beast at what she does. During the mission, she gets a little sidetracked while hooking up with a bride-to-be during her bachelorette party. Lázaro was born on  Oct. 24, 1994, making the Puerto Rican actress 29 years old as of November 2023. Lázaro is also a writer and playwright.

Kimi Rutledge as Maya Lerner

Kimi Rutledge stars as NSA agent and tech wiz Maya Lerner. She’s worked closely with Ava and also has quite the crush on Chad throughout the mission. Rutledge, who is reported to be about 25 years old, was born in Tokyo but grew up in Seattle. Obliterated marks her first major role in an acting project, though she’s appeared in shorts and other small roles.
