Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to yet another TV show. This time around, it’s the popular Black sitcom from the ’90s, Martin. Multiple seasons are reportedly coming to the streamer this March, so fans will get the opportunity to rewatch all the show’s best moments, and new viewers will get to watch it for the first time.

Martin aired on Fox for a total of five seasons from 1992 to 1997. It starred Martin Lawrence as the titular character, Martin Payne, a radio DJ living in Detroit, Michigan with his girlfriend Gina Waters. The show primarily focused on their everyday lives, their romantic relationship, and their friends’ lives.

Tisha Campbell played the role of Gina, while Thomas Mikal Ford (Tommy) and Carl Anthony Payne II (Cole) played Martin’s friends. Tichina Arnold portrayed Pam, Gina’s best friend who doesn’t get along with Martin.

Martin will be available to stream on Netflix in March 2024

02/21/24 UPDATE: We initially reported that Martin would be coming to Netflix in December 2023, but this was wrong. We had obtained this information from another news outlet. Now, we have confirmation that the show will land on Netflix this March.

All five seasons of the comedy sitcom will be coming to Netflix on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Netflix typically drops shows on its platform at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on their release dates, so this will probably happen with Martin.

But if March 31 seems too far off for you and you want to watch the show now, you can do so on Max, formerly HBO Max, or BET+. All five seasons of the comedy sitcom are available to stream on these streaming platforms. However, it’s important that we mention that in order to watch the show on these streamers, you’ll need to have a subscription. It’s believed that the show will remain on Max and BET+ even after it comes to Netflix.

You also have the option to purchase individual episodes or complete seasons through Amazon Prime Video and Vudu.
