Get into the spirit of School Spirits streaming on Netflix: Meet the cast of the murder-mystery

Are you ready for a supernatural drama/murder-mystery? That’s exactly what you’re going to get in the young adult series, School Spirits! The show is actually a Paramount+ production and initially premiered on March 9, 2023. But now, Netflix will be licensing the series and bringing the first season to us starting Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023!

The season’s eight episodes will be added to the streamer that day. Paramount+ has already renewed the series for a second season in June earlier this year. No details about season 2 and whether it will eventually stream on Netflix have been shared. With a new series coming to Netflix, that means there’s a whole lot of cast members you might be wondering about. We shared the show’s cast list below:

Peyton List as Maddie Nears

Netflix fans will most likely recognize Peyton List as Tory Nichols in Cobra Kai. In School Spirits, she plays murdered teen Maddie Nears who is a ghost and stuck in the afterlife after being murdered. We follow her story as she tries to figure out how she died, who did it, and why. And the more she digs, the more “secrets and lies she uncovers,” per the synopsis.

List rose to recognition thanks to her role as Emma Ross on Disney Channel’s Jessie and the spin-off Bunk’d. Some of her other work includes playing Mackenzie in The Outcasts and Sophie Firestone in A Little White Lie.

Kristian Flores as Simon Elroy

Kristian Flores takes on the role of Simon Elroy. The actor’s very first acting credit was playing Connor in the television series Reboot, with his first movie being Me Little Me as Dex. His other projects include The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Grimcutty, and Gray Matter.

Milo Manheim as Wally Clark

Milo Manheim is Wally Clark in School Spirits. He’s also a Disney actor, having played Zed in the movie Zombies, as well as the franchise’s two sequels. You might also recognize the actor as Pierce from American Housewife and Josh from The Conners.

Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter

Spencer MacPherson is Xavier Baxter in the young adult series. Where are my fellow Degrassi fans at? The Canadian actor took on the role of Hunter Hollingsworth in the popular Canadian series. MacPherson has also played Charles Valois in Reign, Scout West in Netflix’s Northern Rescue, and Cam Hawthorne  in American Gothic.
