Who plays Brad in Gilmore Girls (and where is he now)?

Brad Langford is one of many endearing minor characters in Gilmore Girls who helps to flesh out the show’s universe. A fellow classmate of Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) and Paris Gellar (Liza Weil) at Chilton, Brad is played by actor Adam Wylie and his character was often the butt of many jokes aimed at him by Paris, who never wasted an opportunity to torment him a little.

Given how Paris treats him, it’s understandable that he’s terrified of her and even transfers schools at one point, though he returns in an attempt to face her. Later, he ends up on Broadway, performing in the musical Into the Woods (Wylie had actually gotten cast as Jack in the play in real life). And yes, Paris makes fun of that, too.

Wylie is an accomplished actor with dozens of credits under his belt. He appeared in six episodes of Gilmore Girls throughout the show’s second and third seasons. So what is he up to these days?

The 39-year-old actor from California is still very busy in the entertainment industry. His most recent credits include lending his voice to the Netflix animated film The Mitchells vs the Machines and he returned for Under Wraps 2 on Disney after starring in the first movie in 1997. But overall, Wylie is probably best remembered for his childhood role as Zachary Brooks on the television drama Picket Fences, which ran from 1992 to 1996.

However, in some unfortunate news, it looks like the actor recently hit a rough patch. In October 2023, TMZ reported that the child star was caught trying to shoplift some items from a Target in Burbank, California and got nabbed by security after he neglected to scan everything in the self-checkout lane.

Per the report, the items he took were valued at around $108, so he was released shortly after getting cited for petty theft. Hopefully, things are going better for Wylie these days.
