Queer Eye is officially renewed for season 9, which means this beloved Netflix show is one season away from hitting that ten-season milestone that not many original shows are fortunate to see!

While we are more than thrilled that we are set to receive even more content from our favorite show, we have to take this great news with a grain of salt, as, from season 9 and on, Queer Eye won’t be the show we’ve always known it to be. Here’s why!

Season 9 will undergo some MAJOR changes!

As per Deadline, the Netflix reality TV series’ ninth season will switch its location from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Fab Five have visited various locations, such as Kansas City, Philadelphia, and even Tokyo, Japan. However, this is the very first time they will take a trip to Sin City in search of individuals who are in desperate need of a life change. Who will they come across in Las Vegas? And what fun shenanigans will they get up to? All this will be shown to us soon, especially once filming begins for Queer Eye season 9.

But before you start your season 9 countdown, there’s something you should know!

Bobby Berk to end his Queer Eye career with season 8

Sadly, Bobby Berk will not appear in the ninth season or any new season after that going forward. Berk took to his Twitter to give Netflix fans the unfortunate update on Nov. 13.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye,” Berk expressed. “It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon.”

Berk also shared pictures of his eighth and final season. Check them out below.

It’s too soon to know who will replace Bobby Berk, but all we do know is that he will be missed severely. Be sure to watch his final season on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024!
