11. Season 1, Episode 7
After they’ve both betrayed each other, Daphne and Simon come to an understanding that they want different things in life. However, they decide to stay together to see if Daphne ends up pregnant. If not, they will continue to be married but not because of love.
Daphne also helps Marina in this episode. She helps her try to locate the father of her unborn child, Sir George. But when Daphne is unable to do so, Marina attempts to abort her pregnancy. The episode ends with Daphne getting her period, which means she’s not pregnant. She breaks out into tears while her mother consoles her.
10. Season 2, Episode 2
The episode is titled “Off to the Races.” Colin is back in London after traveling all around the world, but does anybody really care? His travels are all he seems to talk about. Meanwhile, Eloise is still trying to track down Lady Whistledown which leads her to a printer’s shop where she meets printer’s assistant Theo Sharpe. But it looks like she’s met her match because Theo is not scared to go toe to toe with her. This is who needs to be courting her. Not any of those other men of the ton who only want to marry her so that she can have their children. That’s not what Eloise wants.
Elsewhere, Queen Charlotte also tries to uncover Lady Whistledown’s identity with the help of her right-hand man Brimsley. Anthony spends most of the episode trying to court Edwina, but Kate isn’t having it. However, he manages to win Edwina over with his words. Now, Kate must try her best to protect her sister.
I’d say the best parts of this episode are seeing Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury bond and the scene where Lady Danbury explains to Kate the importance of being with someone and finding love. The Kanthony scenes were entertaining too. It was funny seeing Anthony work hard to court Edwina while Kate did everything in her power to stop him.
