Are Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin still married?

The Rocky films took the world by storm in the ’70s and ’80s, and it was thanks to Sylvester Stallone who brought the iconic character to life! So it’s great that we have Netflix doc, Sly, to give us a closer look at the talent’s professional and personal life.

The documentary includes his family, and some of you might be questioning whether he’s still married to his wife Jennifer Flavin. The answer is, yes. Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin are still married. The actor first met the model in 1988, and they were together for about five years before splitting up in 1994. That’s because at the time, Stallone had been having an affair with model Janice Dickinson and thought he was the father of her child. However, DNA tests proved he wasn’t.

After that turbulent obstacle, Stallone and Flavin got back together in 1995. The couple was finally married in May 1997. So that means as of November 2023, the two have been married for 26 years and share three daughters: Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet. There’s actually a pretty significant age difference between them—22 years to be exact. In 2023, Stallone is 77 years old, while his wife is 55 years old. When they got married, he was almost 51 while Flavin was only 29 years old. Yup. I’ll just leave it at that.

Flavin actually wasn’t the actor’s first wife. She was his third. Plus, he shares two other sons with his first spouse, Sasha Czack. Unfortunately, one of those young men, Sage Stallone, passed away in 2012. What happened? Read on below for more information.

Sylvester Stallone’s kids: What caused Sage Stallone’s death?

Sage Stallone was the oldest child of Sylvester. He was born on May 5, 1976, and died July 13, 2012, at the age of 36 in his home in Studio City, California. Following an autopsy, it was determined that the cause of death was due to coronary artery disease caused by atherosclerosis. He had not taken any drugs except for over-the-counter medicine for pain.

Like his father, Sage was interested in the film industry. He first starred onscreen alongside Sylvester in Rocky V as the titular character’s son. The two also appeared together in the movie Daylight. Over the years, he took on other acting jobs and producing duties. His final role was as Ari Sheinwold in the short film The Agent.

Sage’s mother was Sasha Czack, who married his father in December 1974. Together, they had two sons – Sage and his brother Seargeoh Stallone, who is autistic and currently 44 years old. Sylvester and Sasha got divorced in February 1985. He then married model and actress Brigitte Nielsen only 10 months later in December 1985. However, the couple’s marriage ended after two years. They did not have any children together.

The three Stallone sisters, as well as their mother Flavin, appear with their father in Netflix’s Sly, as well as the Paramount+ reality series The Family Stallone.
