Locked In cast: Where have you seen the cast of Locked In before?

We’ve officially started a new month and with it comes new Netflix releases. Locked In is one of the new movies landing on Netflix in November 2023, and it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of the thriller genre.

It’s a British Netflix original film directed by Nour Wazzi from a screenplay written by Rowan Joffé. Wazzi is known for directing a couple of episodes of the Netflix sci-fi series The Last Bus, while Joffé is known for co-writing the screenplays for the movies 28 Weeks Later, The American, Before I Go to Sleep and The Informer. Joffé is also the creator of the crime drama series Tin Star.

Locked In follows an unhappy newlywed named Lina, who is frequently pitted against her wealthy, cold-hearted mother-in-law, Katherine. Their fierce rivalry ultimately results in one of them being in the hospital with locked-in syndrome. But how did Katherine become injured? This is what compassionate nurse, McKenzie, is determined to find out. Along the way, she starts to unravel a tale of infidelity, betrayal, and murder.

Who stars in the thriller film?

English actress Rose Williams stars as Lina. She was born on Feb. 18, 1994, making her 29 years old and her zodiac sign Pisces. You might recognize Williams from her previous role as Princess Claude in the period drama series Reign, and as Charlotte Heywood in the drama series Sanditon. She also played the role of Pamela Penrose in the comedy-drama film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.

Famke Janssen plays the role of Katherine, Lina’s harsh mother-in-law. Janssen is best known for starring as Jean Grey/Phoenix in the X-Men film series from 2000-2014. She also played the role of Xenia Onatopp in the spy movie GoldenEye. Some of her other work includes roles in the Taken film trilogy, Hemlock Grove, Nip/Tuck, How to Get Away with Murder, The Blacklist and Knights of the Zodiac. She also portrayed the role of Hilda van der Koy in the 2023 action-thriller film Boy Kills World.

English actress Anna Friel plays Nurse McKenzie, while Alex Hassell portrays Dr. Lawrence in the movie. Friel is known for her previous roles in Pushing Daisies, Marcella, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Limitless, The Girlfriend Experience and Monarch. Additionally, Hassell had roles in the TV shows The Boys, Cowboy Bebop, His Dark Materials and Everything Now.

Finn Cole also stars in the thriller film as a character named Jamie. Jamie is Katherine’s son who gets married to Lina. Cole is best known for starring as Michael Gray in the crime drama series Peaky Blinders and as Joshua “J” Cody in the drama series Animal Kingdom.

The movie is rated TV-MA, and you can expect a lot of strong language and violence. Obviously, this isn’t a film you want to watch with kids around. So, we recommend waiting until they’re asleep or putting on a kids’ movie to keep them occupied.
