By Mads Lennon
Now that Pain Hustlers is on Netflix, you might be interested in learning more about the cast! Who else stars in the film besides lead actors Emily Blunt and Chris Evans?
The new Netflix drama is about a blue-collar single mom who meets a pharmaceutical sales rep one night through a fortuitous chance encounter. He offers her a job as a drug sales rep for their product, and she finds herself slowly embroiled in a racketeering scheme.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Pain Hustlers cast.
Emily Blunt as Liza Drake
As one of the highest-paid actresses in the world, odds are that you have seen some of Emily Blunt’s projects before. The Golden Globe-winning British actress first rose to prominence with her breakout role in The Devil Wears Prada alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. Blunt plays single mom Liza Drake who gets embroiled in a racketeering scheme in Pain Hustlers.
In recent years, she’s starred in projects like A Quiet Place, The Girl on the Train, Mary Poppins Returns, Edge of Tomorrow, Jungle Cruise, and the 2023 hit, Oppenheimer. Next she will star opposite of Ryan Gosling in the 2024 movie The Fall Guy.
Chris Evans as Pete Brenner
Chris Evans is most famous for playing Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He passed his shield onto Anthony Mackie’s character Sam Wilson/Falcon in Avengers: Endgame and has since been experimenting with different roles in film and on television. His character in Pain Hustlers, Pete Brenner, is far less interested in morality as a sketchy pharmaceutical rep.
He starred in the Apple TV+ series Defending Jacob and Rian Johnson’s acclaimed movie Knives Out. He also voiced Buzz Lightyear in the Pixar film Lightyear and recently starred in another Netflix movie, The Gray Man. Next, he’ll return to reprise his role as Lucas Lee in the animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
Catherine O’Hara as Jackie
This Emmy-winning Canadian actress is beloved for her iconic turn as Moira Rose in comedy series Schitt’s Creek, a role that won her multiple awards over the years. In this movie, she plays Liza’s mother, Jackie.
Besides Schitt’s Creek, O’Hara has starred in many other popular movies like Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Since Schitt’s Creek ended, she’s been focusing more on voice work in projects like Central Park, The Last Kids on Earth, and Elemental, but she will return for Beetlejuice 2 and she’ll appear in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming movie Argylle.
Chloe Coleman as Phoebe
Chloe Coleman portrays Emily Blunt’s on-screen daughter, Phoebe, in Pain Hustlers. Phoebe struggles with epilepsy and needs an expensive surgery that motivates Liza to get involved with a shady pharmaceutical company.
Coleman is a 14-year-old up-and-coming talent who has already appeared in several big movies, like Netflix’s Gunpowder Milkshake and the 2023 film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. She made her film debut with the 2020 spy comedy My Spy, starring Dave Bautista and will reprise her role in the sequel, My Spy: The Eternal City.
