By Bryce Olin
When it comes to Netflix movies, no star is bigger than Adam Sandler. Under his overall deal with Netflix, Sandler has starred in and produced nine Netflix original movies. He’s also produced a handful of others. To highlight the Adam Sandler Netflix movies you need to be watching, we ranked all 10 of Sandler’s Netflix movies from worst to best.
Obviously, Sandler’s movies are more of an acquired taste, but there’s no denying Sandler’s fans show up and watch his movies on Netflix. One of the major critiques of many of Sandler’s Netflix movies is that they’re just bad, but that’s not really the case. Yes, there are some bad Sandler movies on Netflix, but more than half of the movies on this list are worth watching. That’s not a bad batting average, right? Oh, and before we forget, there’s a new Sandler movie, Leo, an animated movie, coming to Netflix in November!
Well, it gets bad before it gets better with this ranking. Let’s get the list started with Sandler’s worst Netflix movie, The Ridiculous 6.
10. The Ridiculous 6
- Release Date: Dec. 11, 2015
- Director: Frank Coraci
- Cast: Adam Sandler, Terry Crews, Jorge Garcia, Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson, Nick Nolte, and more
The Ridiculous 6 was the first of Adam Sandler’s Netflix movie deal, and it’s legitimately one of the worst Netflix movies of all time. It’s so bad. It has a 0% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie was mired in controversy after several actors spoke out about the film’s treatment of Native Americans.
The film is a Western satire and tells the story of Tommy “White Knife” Stockburn, a man who was raised by Native Americans. After he and five others, also known as the “Ridiculous 6,” find out they share the same outlaw father, Frank Stockburn (Nick Nolte), they set out on a big western adventure to find him.
There’s probably no reason to watch The Ridiculous 6 in the year 2023, but if you’re a Sandler superfan and want to explore his entire film collection, you can watch the movie on Netflix right now.
