Young comedian Matt Rife has landed his first-ever Netflix comedy special. It’s titled Matt Rife: Natural Selection and it’s coming out this November. If you’re looking forward to watching this upcoming stand-up special, we must share with you all there is to know about it.

Before we get into the deets about the Netflix special, let me give you a short rundown of who Matt Rife is. He’s a 28-year-old comedian and actor from Ohio. He is best known for appearing on the improv game show series Wild ‘n Out for 16 episodes (four seasons). He has also self-produced three of his comedy specials: Only Fans, Matthew Steven Rife and Walking Red Flag.

When it comes to acting, he has appeared in TV shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Fresh Off the Boat. He was also a contestant on the MTV reality series The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars. Now, he’s set to make his Netflix comedy special debut, and we’re more than ready to see it!

Where was Matt Rife: Natural Selection filmed?

The comedy special is part of Rife’s sold-out “ProbleMattic World Tour” which is currently still ongoing. It was reportedly filmed on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23, 2023, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC.

It’s an hour-long special produced by Irony Point and executive produced by Rife and his longtime manager Christina Shams. Irony Point is the same production company that was behind other comedy content such as I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson, Inside Amy Schumer and That Damn Michael Che.

What time is Matt Rife: Natural Selection coming out?

Mark your calendar and set your alarm because the comedy special is scheduled to land on Netflix on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. You’re looking at a release time of 2:00 a.m. CT on Nov. 15 if you’re in the Central time zone. These times are the usual times that Netflix drops new content in the U.S., so you should be used to them if you’re a Netflix Lifer.

Luckily, the special is only an hour long so you should have no problem watching it and still getting a good night’s sleep. Make sure to save the date and time!

Rife spoke with Deadline and shared what fans can expect from Matt Rife: Natural Selection.

"“The first half of it is so silly and ridiculous and fun, and the second half is some stuff I actually got to pour some thought into, which, if you’ve watched either of my previous specials, I kind of like to end the last of it with something people can think about, and put some thought behind, and give some real perspective on something I genuinely am passionate about, as well as making it funny with a fun story. I’d say it’s my most fun hour yet. I think people are really going to like it. There’s something in there for everybody.”"
