We’re getting close to November 2023, and there are several Netflix titles we can’t wait to see come out. More specifically, the new anime on Netflix for that month. One of the most highly anticipated anime series of 2023 is scheduled to be released, and it’ll definitely be the first show we watch!

If you’re just as excited as us to see all the upcoming anime releases in November, we must share with you all the titles. There aren’t that many, but they’re still worth checking out.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

Release date: Nov. 17, 2023

We can’t express how excited we are to see this new anime series. It’s based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim graphic novels and follows a young musician who after meeting the woman of his dreams, finds himself in a complicated situation where he has to defeat all of her evil exes to date her.

You might be familiar with this show because you watched the live-action movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Most of the cast from the film came back to voice characters in this anime adaptation. So you can expect to hear the voices of actors such as Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, and more.

Akuma Kun

Release date: Nov. 9, 2023

Akuma Kun is an upcoming anime series based on the Japanese manga series of the same name by Shigeru Mizuki. While there have been several adaptations of the manga, there had only been one anime adaptation until now. The first anime series came out in 1989 and was a huge hit. Now in 2023, we have a new version that’s set in a world 30 years after the first version.

The show follows a young boy raised by a demon, who works together with his half-human, half-demon partner, Mephisto III, to solve various murders and mysteries. His ultimate goal is to create an ideal world where all humans can live happily.

Yuki Kaji voices the roles of Akuma Kun/Ichiro Umoregi. Toshio Furukawa, Ryoko Shiraishi, Yumiri Hanamori, Ai Fairouz, Yukiyo Fujii, and Yuko Mita also voice characters in the series.

Onimusha

Release date: Nov. 2, 2023

Onimusha is another new anime on Netflix in November 2023. It’s based on Capcom’s famous video game series of the same name and is set in the early Edo Period. It follows swordsman Miyamoto Musashi as he embarks on a perilous journey to defeat demons armed with the legendary “Oni Gauntlet.”

Akio Otsuka, Hochu Otsuka, Daiki Yamashita, Subaru Kimura, Katsuyuki Konishi, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Makoto Furukawa, Aya Yamane, Ryohei Kimura, and Toshihiko Seki voice the different characters in the series.

Onmyoji

Release date: Nov. 28, 2023

For the first time ever, Baku Yumemakura’s acclaimed series of supernatural mystery novels of the same name has received an anime adaptation. Onmyoji on Netflix follows onmyoji Abe Seimei and his partner Minamoto Hiromasa as they work together to put a stop to the demons that disturb ancient Kyoto.

Daisuke Namikawa voices Abe Seimei, while Shintaro Asanuma voices Minamoto Hiromasa. The other voice cast members include Yui Ishikawa, Kenji Hamada, Daisuke Kishio, and Rina Sato.

Resident Evil: Death Island

Release date: Nov. 9, 2023

Through Netflix’s deal with Sony Pictures, the streamer is set to receive the action anime film Resident Evil: Death Island this early November. Based on the popular video game series of the same name by Capcom, Resident Evil: Death Island follows Agent Chris Redfield and his team as they take on a new mysterious threat in Alcatraz Island.

Here’s the official synopsis via Sony Pictures:

"In San Francisco, Jill Valentine is dealing with a zombie outbreak and a new T-Virus, Leon Kennedy is on the trail of a kidnapped DARPA scientist, and Claire Redfield is investigating a monstrous fish that is killing whales in the bay. Joined by Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers, they discover the trail of clues from their separate cases all converge on the same location, Alcatraz Island, where a new evil has taken residence and awaits their arrival."

The voice cast is made up of Matthew Mercer, Stephanie Panisello, Kevin Dorman, Nicole Tompkins, Erin Cahill, and others.
