Is Sick Girl starring Nina Dobrev on Netflix? (where to watch)
Nina Dobrev is back with another comedy film called Sick Girl after starring in the Netflix action comedy The Out-Laws. If you’re looking forward to watching this movie, we must share where exactly you can do so.
Sick Girl was written and directed by Jennifer Cram in her feature film debut. Additionally, Dobrev, Takashi Cheng, Mandi Collier, and Frankie Pine serve as executive producers on the movie.
Production on the film actually wrapped up back in 2019, so we could’ve seen it earlier. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a major delay, and that’s why we’re not seeing it until now.
The movie follows a woman named Wren Pepper, who decides to make up a lie that she has cancer after she notices she and her closest friends are drifting apart. But what was initially supposed to be a little white lie to keep the friendship together, transforms into something entirely different.
Nina Dobrev stars as the protagonist of the film, Wren Peppers. She’s a 34-year-old Canadian actress best known for starring as Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in the supernatural teen drama series The Vampire Diaries.
She also had roles in the TV shows Degrassi: The Next Generation and Fam. You might also recognize her from her roles in the movies The Roommate, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, XXX: Return of Xander Cage and Love Hard. We’ll see her next in the upcoming films Reunion and The Bricklayer.
Here’s more of the cast and who they play in the film.
- Brandon Mychal Smith as Leo
- Sherry Cola as Laurel
- Stephanie Koenig as Cece
- Hayley Magnus as Jill
- Ray McKinnon as Malcolm
- Dan Bakkedahl as Fred Pepper
- Wendi McLendon-Covey as Carol Pepper
Where to watch Sick Girl
Unfortunately, you can not watch Sick Girl on Netflix. However, we still recommend checking out Netflix’s comedy section. There are tons of good comedy films on the streamer that we’re sure you’ll enjoy. We recommend checking out Murder Mystery, The Wrong Missy, Old Dads, Baby Mama, Tammy and Wine Country.
If you really want to watch Sick Girl, it’s available on digital. You can rent or purchase the film through Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Vudu, Apple TV, or YouTube. There’s a chance that the movie could come to Netflix in the future if the streaming giant acquires licensing rights. But that’s just not the cast at the moment. So for now, you’ll have to rent or buy the film.
