Monk is a police procedural series that ran for eight seasons on the USA Network from 2002 to 2009. It was critically acclaimed, winning many prestigious awards over its run, including eight Emmy Awards, one Golden Globe Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Created by Andy Breckman, Monk centers around Adrian Monk, a former homicide detective with OCD who begins work as a private consultant for the San Francisco Police Department to help solve crimes.

Tony Shalhoub stars in the leading role as former San Francisco police detective Adrian Monk. Before starring as Monk, Shalhoub was known for his breakout role as Antonio Scarpacci in the comedy-drama series Wings.

Some of his other roles were in the movies Spy KidsMen in Black IISpy Kids 2: The Island of Lost DreamsSpy Kids 3-D: Game OverMovie 43 and Flamin’ Hot. He also had roles in the TV shows Stark Raving MadNurse JackieBrainDead and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Bitty Schram, Jason Gray-Stanford, Stanley Kamel, Ted Levine, Traylor Howard, Emmy Clarke, Héctor Elizondo, Jarrad Paul, and Tim Bagley are also in the cast.
