November is quickly approaching, Netflix Lifers, and we’re looking forward to all the new Netflix originals scheduled to be released that month. October was spooky season and mostly catered to the horror genre. Well, that all changes in November.

We’re talking about the releases of tons of new Netflix shows and movies of various genres throughout the month. We’re also talking about the return of popular Netflix originals with new seasons.

The Crown season 6 part 1

Release date: Nov. 16, 2023

The Crown season 6 is the final season of the popular period drama series, and instead of releasing it all at once like previous seasons, Netflix has decided to split it up into two parts. Part 1, consisting of the first four episodes, is set to drop in mid-November, so you know what we’ll be watching.

The sixth season covers events from 1997 through 2005. In the first four episodes, the show will mostly center around the continuation of Princess Diana’s story and the events surrounding her tragic death in ’97.

Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki returns to reprise the role. Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth II), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Olivia Williams (Camilla), Rufus Kampa (young Prince William), Fflyn Edwards (young Prince and Harry), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), Khalid Abdalla (Dodi Fayed), and many others are also in the season 6 cast.

Virgin River season 5 part 2

Release date: Nov. 30, 2023

Virgin River will be dropping the final two episodes of its fifth season right before we enter the last month of the year. They’re holiday episodes, and we see the townspeople of Virgin River get ready for their annual Christmas Tree decorating contest. Jack and Mel are also on a mission to track down Mel’s biological father.

There’s a lot more going on in the remote town in part 2, and according to executive producer, Patrick Sean Smith, the holiday episodes will consist of many surprises that will “propel the show into season 6.” No worries. We’ll keep you updated on all things Virgin River season 6.

The Killer

Release date: Nov. 10, 2023

David Fincher is set to return with his twelfth feature,The Killer, this November. It’s a suspenseful thriller starring Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender in the leading role as a professional assassin who gets involved in an international manhunt after a hit goes awry.

Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Kerry O’Malley, Sala Baker, Sophie Charlotte, and Tilda Swinton join Fassbender in the cast.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

Release date: Nov. 17, 2023

One of the most highly anticipated Netflix anime releases for 2023 would have to be Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. It’s an eight-episode animated series based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley. The novels were previously adapted into a live-action movie called Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and now Netflix has created an anime adaptation.

The show follows 23-year-old musician, Scott Pilgrim, who after meeting the girl of his dreams, finds himself having to defeat all seven of her evil exes in order to date her.

The entire live-action movie’s cast returns to reprise their roles in the anime. Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Alison Pill, and Aubrey Plaza are just some of the voice cast members.

Obliterated

Release date: Nov. 30, 2023

One of the action comedy series you should be watching in November is Obliterated. It centers around an elite special forces team, who after deactivating a bomb, believe they stopped a deadly threat from wiping out Las Vegas. They celebrate what they thought was a completed mission by partying and getting drunk only to discover later that the nuclear device they deactivated was a fake. Now, they’re faced with the task of finding the real bomb and saving the world. But it’s not going to be an easy mission when they’re all intoxicated.

The cast is made up of Nick Zano, Shelley Hennig, Terrence Terrell, Alyson Gorske, C. Thomas Howell, Eugene Kim, Paola Lázaro, Kimi Rutledge, and many others.

Best. Christmas. Ever!

Release date: Nov. 16, 2023

Brandy Norwood and Heather Graham in a Christmas movie together? Sign me up! It’s a comedy film centering around two longtime frenemies whose friendship is put to the ultimate test when they’re reunited during Christmas.

Here’s the official logline via Netflix:

"Every Christmas Jackie sends a boastful holiday newsletter that makes her old college friend Charlotte feel like a lump of coal. When a twist of fate lands Charlotte and her family on Jackie’s snowy doorstep just days before Christmas, she seizes the opportunity to prove her old friend’s life can’t possibly be that perfect."

Jason Biggs, Matt Cedeño, Abby Villasmil, Wyatt Hunt, and Madison Skye Validum join Norwood and Graham in the cast.
