Everything Now

Netflix has some of the best teen shows streaming on its platform, and luckily, a new one is scheduled to be coming out soon. It’s called Everything Now, and it will be dropped on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023.

Everything Now is an upcoming British Netflix original series created by Ripley Parker. If you weren’t aware, Parker is the oldest daughter of Emmy Award-winning actress Thandiwe Newton and English director Ol Parker. She’s also the showrunner, executive producer, and a writer of the series. In addition, Sian McWilliams, Andy Harries, and Rob Bullock signed on as executive producers.

It’s a show developed by Left Bank Pictures, the production team behind popular shows such as The Crown and Outlander, and follows the complicated life of a teenage girl named Mia.

When 16-year-old Mia Polanco is released from the hospital after a lengthy recovery from an eating disorder, she makes it her mission to get her life back. She’s quickly thrown back into the world of sixth form where she discovers her closest friends have moved on without her. But Mia refuses to let this deter her from achieving her goals. So, she begins making her way through her ever-evolving bucket list while navigating the world of dating, parties, and first kisses.

Amazingly talented Australian actress Sophie Wilde portrays the leading role of Mia Polanco. You might recognize her from her most recent role as Mia in the supernatural horror film Talk to Me. She also appeared in the Netflix miniseries You Don’t Know Me. Joining her in the cast are actors Lauryn Ajufo, Harry Cadby, Noah Thomas, Stephen Fry, Niamh McCormack, Sam Reuben, and many others.

If you’re a fan of Netflix teen series such as Sex Education and/or Heartbreak High, then you should definitely add Everything Now to your watchlist.
