06/08/23 UPDATE: In February 2023, Netflix renewed the new teen series for a second season.

Netflix has set a date for That ’90s Show. Get ready because the That ’70s Show spinoff arrives on Netflix on Jan. 19! Fortunately, Netflix decided to give the teen series a 10-episode order, so viewers will have plenty to watch and enjoy.

The show will follow Eric and Donna’s teenage daughter, Leia Forman, as she visits her grandparents for the summer and befriends the neighborhood kids. The regular cast is made up of Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp, Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.

You can also expect to see special guest star appearances from most of the That ’70s Show cast, like Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama, and Tommy Chong. If you’re wondering why Danny Masterson, who played Hyde, won’t be returning, it’s because he was arrested and charged with multiple accounts of sexual assault back in 2020. I wonder if and how they’ll address his character’s absence in the spinoff.

It will be interesting to see how That ’90s Show fares on Netflix when it comes out since this isn’t the first spinoff to come from That ’70s Show.
