The Witcher season 3
Updates: Netflix announced the official release date for The Witcher season 3. The third season will be split into two parts. Volume 1 (episodes 1-5) will be released on June 29, and Volume 2 (6-8) will drop on July 27. Also, the fantasy series has been renewed for a fourth season.
One of Netflix’s most-watched original series will not be making its return this year as we had hoped. During Netflix’s TUDUM, the streamer announced that The Witcher season 3 will be released summer of 2023. However, an official release date was not disclosed. A summer release would put the release date somewhere between June 21 and Sept. 23. We’re probably looking at an early summer release sometime in June or July of 2023.
We’re actually surprised the third season is coming in mid-2023 instead of early 2023. The first season spent seven months in post-production before making its way to Netflix and the second season spent eight months in post-production. Production on The Witcher season 3 wrapped in September 2022, so seven to eight months later would have put the release date somewhere in April or May 2023. But it looks like the third season will need a little more time in post-production before it’s ready for viewing.
