Glamorous
A new Netflix show to check out in June is the comedy-drama Glamorous. The 10-episode first season is set to drop on Thursday, June 22, so you might want to mark your calendar for its release.
Glamorous is a television series created by Jordon Nardino, whose known for working as a writer on other TV shows such as Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, 10 Things I Hate About You, Quantico and Star Trek: Discovery. Nardino also serves as executive producer along with Damon Wayans Jr. and Kameron Tarlow of Two Shakes Entertainment.
The show follows a young gender non-conforming queer man named Marco Mejia, who lands a job for the legendary makeup mogul Madolyn Addison. Madolyn’s makeup line, Glamorous Cosmetics, isn’t doing well, and she suspects that someone working for her is trying to sabotage the beauty brand. So, she hires Marco to get to the bottom of this issue, and in exchange, she’ll teach Marco everything she knows.
Miss Benny stars in the leading role of Marco Mejia. They’re known for their previous roles in Fuller House, Love, Victor and American Horror Stories. Additionally, Sex and the City‘s Kim Cattrall portrays the role of Madolyn Addison, the founder and CEO of Glamorous Cosmetics.
The rest of the cast comprises Zane Phillips, Jade Payton, Michael Hsu Rosen, Ayesha Harris, Graham Parkhurst, Diana Maria Riva, Lisa Gilroy, Mark Deklin, and Ricardo Chavira.
