If you’re a big fan of Tom Cruise, it’s a great time to have a Netflix subscription. There are so many Tom Cruise movies on Netflix in October 2023. The film industry veteran has been in 44 movies. While most of Cruise’s movies are unavailable to stream on Netflix, there are at least half a dozen worth watching.

To help you find the perfect movie to watch on Netflix tonight, we shared a list of three recommendations for good Tom Cruise movies to watch. We also shared two of Cruise’s movies that probably aren’t worth your time tonight and that you should skip.

Let’s get the list started with one of my favorite movies starring Cruise, Collateral.

Collateral

Verdict: Watch

Collateral is one of the best movies on Netflix right now, and it has been for a while. Unfortunately, Collateral is leaving Netflix on Oct. 31, 2023, so you better watch the movie soon!

The movie tells the story of Max (Jamie Foxx), a taxi driver who begins driving around a man, Vincent (Tom Cruise), for the night. Max quickly realizes Vincent is a hitman and is hired to drive him around Los Angeles for the night.

If you’re into action thrillers, you can’t go wrong with Collateral on Netflix.

  • Release Year: 2004
  • Director: Michael Mann
  • Cast: Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, Jada Pinkett Smith, Mark Ruffalo, Peter Berg, and Bruce McGill
  • Watch on Netflix: Collateral

The Mummy

Verdict: Skip

The Mummy starring Tom Cruise seemed like a good idea, but unfortunately, it’s one of Cruise’s worst movies in his career. It’s a reboot of the original Mummy movies starring Brendan Frasier, and it’s just not a good movie.

The Mummy tells the story of treasure hunter Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) who accidentally awakens the spirit of Ahmanet, an ancient Egyptian princess who is back for revenge.

The Mummy was just added to Netflix in October 2023, so it might look like it’s a popular new movie to watch on the streaming service, but don’t be fooled. The Mummy is a skip!

  • Release Year: 2017
  • Director: Alex Kurtzman
  • Cast: Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Sofia Boutella, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, Marwan Kenzari, and Russell Crowe
  • Watch on Netflix: The Mummy

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol

Verdict: Watch

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is now streaming on Netflix, and it’s definitely a must-watch for Cruise fans. It’s easily one of the best action movies on Netflix right now.

Ghost Protocol is the fourth Mission: Impossible movie, and it follows Ethan Hunt’s journey after he and others close to him are framed for a bombing at the Kremlin. Hunt and his team try to prove their innocence and stay alive while being pursued by other skilled agents.

The first four Mission: Impossible movies are streaming on Netflix right now. There’s no doubt Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is the best of the bunch, but it’s the perfect time for a Mission: Impossible marathon on Netflix right now.

War of the Worlds

Verdict: Skip

War of the Worlds is based on H. G. Wells’ novel of the same name. The action film tells the story of an alien invasion of Earth. Ray (Tom Cruise), a father, tries to protect his two children, Rachel (Dakota Fanning) and Robbie (Justin Chatwin) from the alien invaders who are killing and rounding up humans.

Overall, War of the Worlds is not that bad of a movie, in my opinion. Cruise and Fanning deliver excellent performances, but it’s probably not a movie that you really want to watch right now. For that reason, it’s a skip!

  • Release Year: 2005
  • Director: Steven Spielberg
  • Cast: Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Miranda Otto, Tim Robbins, and Justin Chatwin
  • Watch on Netflix: War of the Worlds

American Made

Verdict: Watch

American Made is one of the most popular movies on Netflix during the fall of 2023, which is surprising because the movie is more than five years old. The film stars Cruise as a pilot, Barry Seal, who is working for the CIA and making trips to Central and South America when he begins smuggling drugs for Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel during the 1980s. Later, Seal gets caught and is forced to become an informant for the DEA to save himself.

You’ve seen a lot of shows and movies like American Made, and many of them are available to stream on Netflix. If you’re interested in American Made and like the movie, we highly recommend all five seasons of Narcos on Netflix.

American Made also has an incredible cast with Domnhall Gleeson, Jesse Plemons, and Sarah Wright Olsen rounding out the cast. American Made is also on the list of the best movies on Netflix right now.

  • Release Year: 2017
  • Director:
  • Cast: Tom Cruise, Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright Olsen, Jesse Plemons, and Caleb Landry Jones
  • Watch on Netflix: American Made

That’s the list of the best Tom Cruise movies on Netflix right now! We’ll update the list as more Cruise movies are added to Netflix.
