Ijogbon cast: Who stars in the Nollywood movie?

Netflix has released a new teen film called Ijogbon, and you should definitely check it out if you’re looking for something suspenseful to watch.

It’s a Nollywood movie produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan and written by Tunde Babalola. It’s part of Afolayan’s partnership deal with Netflix where he will produce three films set in Nigeria for the streamer. He also has many other films he directed streaming on Netflix, such as AnikulapoOctober 1SwallowThe FigurineCitation, The BridgeA Naija ChristmasThe CEO and several others.

Ijogbon plot

The teen drama flick follows four teenagers from a rural village in Nigeria who find a pouch of uncut diamonds and decide to keep them. But soon, the owners of the diamonds come looking for them, and the four teens find themselves in deep trouble, having to deal with the consequences of their actions.

It’s rated TV-14, meaning it may not be appropriate for ages under 14. It was given this age rating for fear, strong language, smoking, and violence. Overall, parents are strongly cautioned.

Who’s in the cast?

Ruby Akubueze (Oby), Kayode Ojuolape Jr. (Jamiu), Fawaz Aina (Omooba), and Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa (Ranti) star as the four teenagers who find a bag of diamonds.

Ruby is a 25-year-old Nigerian actress known for her previous roles in the movies What Happened on 3rd Street and A Romantic Comedy Featuring Lara and Tobi. She also starred as Frances in the drama series Shuga.

Kayode Ojuolape Jr. had previous roles in The Crown AcademyFunke! and Slum King while Fawaz is best known for being a member of the Nigeran comedy group Ikorodu Bois and starring in the fantasy film Anikulapo. Additionally, Ijogbon is Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa’s first major movie.
