If you’ve been trying to find a place to watch Long Shot starring Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron, but were never fortunate enough to find a streaming service, you’re in luck because the 2019 film is finally coming to Netflix and it’s sure to be everything you’ve thought it to be.

The title follows the life of a journalist down on his luck. However, not all hope is lost, as he is rekindled with his babysitter from years ago, who now works as the Secretary of State. He’s hoping to, at the very least, get back in graces with his former friend for a job. But he finds that there’s so much more in store than what he initially thought, as he is now thrown into a world where his writing (and life) may finally be able to thrive.

Check out the official trailer for Long Shot below.

Now that you know everything about what to expect and have seen a first-look at what’s to come, you’re all set to learn all about the characters behind this title. Check it out below!

Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron make a wonderful pair

Seth Rogen stars as Fred Flarsky, while Charlize Theron stars as Charlotte Field. Fred is a goofy character, often rolling with whatever punches life throws at him, while Charlotte has to put her career first at all costs; she represents the country after all. Though opposites, they find that they have much more in common than their history.

Here’s who stars alongside Rogen and Theron in Long Shot!

  • O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Lance
  • Andy Serkis as Parker Wembley
  • June Diane Raphael as Maggie Milliken
  • Alexander Skarsgård as James Steward
  • Ravi Patel as Tom
  • Randall Park as Flarsky’s boss
  • Tristan D. Lalla as Agent M
  • James Saito as Minister Kishido
  • Lisa Kudrow as Katherine

Last but not least is Better Caul Saul actor Bob Odenkirk, who stars as the President of the United States. President Chambers may be the most powerful man in the world, but that title is somewhat sullied by the fact that he’s not all the way there. Nevertheless, he’s Charlotte’s boss.

With a stacked cast like this, missing out on Long Shot isn’t something we recommend. Do be sure to check out the Netflix premiere of the 2019 film on Monday, Oct. 16. See you there!
