How many episodes of Pact of Silence are there on Netflix?

In October 2023, Netflix released the first season of the Mexican mystery drama series Pact of Silence, otherwise known as Pacto de Silencio, and subscribers immediately started to binge-watch every second of the twisty series. A day after its release, the show was already charting in the top 10 most popular shows.

The series centers on a successful social media influencer named Brenda Rey, played by actress Camila Valero. Growing up, Brenda had been abandoned as a baby and consequently had a difficult upbringing on the streets. Since making something of herself, Brenda wants to know the truth about her mother.

Naturally, this leads Brenda to sneak her way into the lives of four women who could potentially be her birth mother and the woman who gave her up. She’s set on not only finding out the truth but getting revenge on those responsible for the early life she led. If you’re comparing this show to Pretty Little Liars and Revenge, you would probably love it.

Since it’s a Netflix show, most binge-watchers are probably expecting an eight or 10-episode season that’s easily consumed over the course of a couple nights on the couch, even over the weekend. But as luck would have it, the first season of Pact of Silence has a grand total of 18 episodes, which range in runtime from between 36 to 43 minutes.

Personally, the more episodes of a twisty mystery series like this one, the better! You have more time to dig into the lives of the characters and find out more about what makes each of them tick. Sometimes, eight or 10 episodes just isn’t enough time to build the momentum and suspense, but this series seems to have a great build up to savor all of the drama.

Even though there are 18 episodes and some viewers might think that’s too many to watch in a weekend, the reasonable runtimes — all under one hour! — will make the series fly by like its a season of a comedy series. Likewise, even with comparatively two-seasons worth of a modern streaming series, the last episode might leave you wanting more from a season 2.
