Cry Macho cast: Who stars in the Western movie?
There’s a great selection of Academy Award-winning actor Clint Eastwood’s movies on Netflix, and one of his films is currently ranked on the streamer’s top 10 movie list as of Sept. 19. It’s Cry Macho, and we’re hearing tons of people talk about the 2021 film.
Cry Macho is a neo-Western drama movie helmed and produced by Eastwood himself. Additionally, the screenplay was written by Nick Schenk and N. Richard Nash. Albert S. Ruddy,
Tim Moore, and Jessica Meier also signed on as producers, with David M. Bernstein serving as executive producer.
It’s based on Nash’s 1975 novel of the same name and follows a former rodeo star and washed-up horse-breeder who takes on a job involving retrieving his ex-boss’s young son from Mexico and away from his alcoholic mom.

Eastwood not only directed and produced the movie, but he also starred as the main character. He portrays the role of retired Texan rodeo star Mike Milo. Eastwood has been acting since the ’50s. Some of his best known roles were in the movies and TV shows Rawhide, Man with No Name, Every Which Way but Loose, Hang ‘Em High, Where Eagles Dare, The Bridges of Madison County, In the Line of Fire, The Mule, Unforgiven, Gran Torino etc.

The drama film is rated PG-13, meaning it may be inappropriate for ages under 13. It was given this age rating for strong language and thematic elements. Overall, parents are strongly cautioned.
