Once Upon a Crime cast: Who stars in the Japanese Netflix movie?

Once Upon a Crime is a spin on two fairytales we all know and love, Cinderella and The Little Red Riding Hood. However, in this Netflix original, the story is far from what we expect, as there are elements of mystery and crime.

The film follows the lives of Little Red and Cinderella as they explore a world full of magic and extravagant balls. At one particular ball, however, they find that the handsome prince has been killed, thrusting them into solving a whodunnit mystery where anyone could be the suspect.

Playing the role of our lovely Little Red is Kanna Hashimoto. You may know Hashimoto from titles like The Forbidden Play (2023), Black Night Parade (2022), and Nemesis (2021).

Starring alongside Hashimoto is Yûko Araki. Araki is playing the role of Cinderella in this Netflix film. But before this role, she starred in See Hear Love (2023), Sirens No Zange (2020), and Code Blue: The Movie (2018).

This 2023 release is brought to you by none other than director Yûichi Fukuda. Fukuda has worked on titles such as Saint Young Men (2018), Psychic Kusuo (2017), and Yusha Yoshihiko (2016). He is joined by Aito Aoyagi, who serves the writer for the title.
