The police officer in question is a man named Pedro, played by Spanish actor José Manuel Poga. While the show begins with his death, we flashback to the events leading up to that moment so we get to meet Pedro, and it soon becomes apparent that he was involved in a complicated network of toxic relationships, scandal, and violence.

As mentioned above, Poga is best known for his villainous turn as César Gandía in the hit Netflix series Money Heist. He got his start in the entertainment industry in 2007 when he featured in the Spanish sitcom The One That Looms as an extra.

From there, he went on to star in the 2012 period drama film Orange Honey, which earned him a nod for Best Actor at the 2013 Andalusian Film Critics’ Awards. Some of his other acting credits include The Fortress, The Endless Trench, Taxi to Gibraltar, and Sky Rojo.
