Another show to be on the lookout for in October is Bodies. It joins the 2023 spooky season lineup on Netflix, which already includes The Fall of the House of Usher and Creature. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming sci-fi crime series.

Bodies is a British Netflix original series created by Paul Tomalin. Tomalin is known for writing an episode of the British sci-fi series Torchwood and episodes of the police procedural drama series No Offence.

Marco Kreuzpaintner and Haolu Wang directed the episodes for Bodies, while Tomalin and Danusia Samal wrote the scripts. Additionally, Tomalin, Kreuzpaintner, Will Gould, and Frith Tiplady signed on as executive producers.

The complete first season is scheduled to be released on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023. You can expect the episodes to be dropped on the streaming platform at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. Also, you’re looking at a release time of 2:00 a.m. CT if you’re in the Central time zone.

When a body – the same body – is found on Longharvest Lane in London’s East End in 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053, one detective from each period must investigate. As connections are drawn across the decades, the detectives soon discover their investigations are linked, and an enigmatic political leader – Elias Mannix (Stephen Graham) – becomes increasingly central. Did he have a part to play in the murder? Or is something far more sinister at play? To solve the mystery, our four detectives must somehow collaborate and uncover a conspiracy spanning over 150 years."
