A Korean drama that you should definitely add to your watchlist if you haven’t already is A Time Called You. It was released on Netflix on Sept. 8, and all 12 episodes dropped at once. A Time Called You is a romantic drama series directed by Kim Jin-won from scripts written by Choi Hyo-bi. It’s based on the popular 2019 Taiwanese romantic drama Someday or One Day, and follows Jun-hee, a grieving woman who manages to magically travel in time from 2023 to 1998. After waking up in the body of a high school student (Min-ju) in 1998, Jun-hee begins to navigate her new reality and meets a student (Si-heon) with an uncanny resemblance to her late boyfriend, Yeon-jun.

A Time Called You cast
South Korean actress Jeon Yeo-been portrays the leading roles of Han Jun-hee and Kwon Min-ju. Min-ju is the 18-year-old high school student Jun-hee becomes when she travels back in time. You might recognize Jeon Yeo-been from her previous role as Young-hee in the South Korean independent film After My Death. She also starred in the hit Netflix Korean series Vincenzo as Hong Cha-young and the Netflix Korean drama Glitch as Hong Ji-hyo.
Well-known South Korean actor and singer Ahn Hyo-seop plays the roles of Gu Yeon-jun and Nam Si-heon. While Yeon-jun is Jun-hee’s late love, Nam Si-heon is the teen boy in the 1998 timeline who resembles him. Some of Ahn Hyo-seop’s best work was his roles in the Korean series Still 17, Abyss, Dr. Romantic 2, Lovers of the Red Sky, Business Proposal and Dr. Romantic 3.
Kang Hoon portrays the role of Jung In-gyu in A Time Called You. In-gyu is Si-heon’s best friend who has a crush on Min-ju. Kang Hoon is best known for his roles in the Korean dramas The Red Sleeve, Little Women and The Secret Romantic Guesthouse.
