We have a new docuseries for you to check out on Netflix. It’s called Predators, and it lands on the streaming platform on Sept. 6. Below, we shared all there is to know about the new show, including who narrates it.
Predators is a nature documentary series from True To Nature production company. Additionally, Wendy Darke and Vanessa Coates are signed on as executive producers of the series.
There are many good nature docuseries already streaming on Netflix, such as Our Planet II, Life in Colour, Our Great National Parks, Wild Babies and Chimp Empire. But Predators mainly focuses on five specific predator species. Those animals are cheetahs, polar bears, pumas, lions, and hyenas.
Viewers watch as these powerful hunters work to survive in their ever-changing environments while fighting to maintain their dominance. There are five episodes in this gripping docuseries, and viewers get to hear the mellifluous voice of a well-known actor narrate it. But who exactly is the narrator? Here’s what we know.
Who narrates the Predators docuseries on Netflix?
The narrator of Predators is Academy-nominated actor Tom Hardy. Hardy was born on Sept. 15, 1977, in London, England. As of Sept. 5, he is 45 years old and his zodiac sign is Virgo.
He made his feature film debut in Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down, but previously had a small role in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. You might also recognize Hardy from his previous roles in Star Trek: Nemesis, RocknRolla, Bronson, Lawless, This Means War, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and Dunkirk. He’s also best known for starring as the main character in the Marvel superhero movies Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
We’ll see him next in the crime drama movie The Bikeriders also starring Jodie Comer and Austin Butler, a third Venom movie and a Netflix movie called Havoc.
Hardy has been married two times. First, he was married to a producer named Sarah Ward from 1999 to 2004. Then, in July 2014, he married English actress Charlotte Riley. They’re still together to this day. Hardy has a total of three kids: two sons from Riley and another son from a previous relationship with assistant director Rachael Speed.
