Netflix Obliterated release date, cast, photos, synopsis, and more

In May 2022, Netflix ordered an action-comedy series titled Obliterated by Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald. Since then, there have been many updates about the upcoming series, and we’ve shared everything there is to know so far.

Obliterated is a Netflix original series created, written, and executive produced by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald under their Counterbalance Entertainment production banner. Dina Hillier from Counterbalance Entertainment is also executive producing alongside the Cobra Kai trio with Sony Pictures Television as the studio.

In August 2023, Netflix announced that Obliterated would premiere on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Where was Obliterated filmed?

Principal photography took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Teen Wolf‘s Shelley Hennig and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s Nick Zano lead the cast as Ava Winters and Chad McKnight, respectively. Ava Winters is described as a “CIA lead agent who likes to play by the book while overseeing an elite Special Forces team.

But the book gets thrown out the window when she and the team have to go back to work while impaired.” Chad Mcknight is described as the leader of an “elite SEAL team who loves him despite his reputation for being a wild guy on and off the job. The night from hell in Vegas will test his commitment to both keeping the good times going and saving the world while he’s at it.”

Netflix provided us with the synopsis, and we shared it below.

"A high octane action-comedy that tells the story of an elite special forces team who thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their celebratory party, filled with booze, drugs and sex, the team discovers that a bomb they deactivated was a fake. The now intoxicated team has to fight through their impairments, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world."

How many episodes are in Obliterated on Netflix?

There are eight episodes that are about 60 minutes each in the first season.

Is there an Obliterated trailer?

Netflix hasn’t released the trailer or teaser for the show yet, we should expect to see one sometime in late September or October.
