Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World, also simply known as Big George Foreman, is a biographical sports drama film helmed by George Tillman Jr. from a screenplay he co-wrote with Frank Baldwin. Tillman Jr. is best known for previously directing the movies Soul Food, Men of Honor, Notorious and The Hate U Give. In addition, Baldwin is known for co-writing the screenplay for the action film Cold Pursuit.

Big George Foreman centers around the life of world heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman. It covers Foreman’s life from his impoverished childhood, to his rise as the World Heavyweight Champion, to losing the title and finding his faith, and then to finally reclaiming the title of heavyweight champion of the world.

Sullivan Jones plays professional boxer Muhammad Ali in Big George Foreman. Born on Nov. 6, 1988, in San Rafael, California, Jones is known for starring as Aaron in the drama film The Surrogate. He also had roles in the TV shows The Politician, Halston, Atlanta, The Equalizer, Harlem and The Gilded Age. We’ll see Jones next in a crime drama series called Interior Chinatown.

Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker portrays the role of Doc Broadus, Foreman’s trainer. However, George was never married to a woman named Paula in real life. In fact, Paula is not a real person. She’s a character that was created for the movie. On the other hand, Mary Joan Martelly is a real person and has been married to George since 1985.

George has been married five times. His first marriage was to a woman named Adrienne Calhoun. They were married from 1971 to 1974. His other marriages, not including his current marriage to Mary Joan, were to women named Cynthia Lewis (1977-1979), Sharon Goodson (1981-1982), and Andrea Skeete (1982-1985).
