Another new week is here and who knows? The Netflix CEO might say another horrifyingly villainous thing. But whatever happens, Netflix will still be adding a bunch of new movies and shows to their lineup this week. The additions this week include a choose-your-own-adventure love story, a live-action version of a popular anime series, and an Oscar-winning alien movie.

First up is Choose Love. it’s coming to Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023 and stars Laura Marano, Avan Jogia, Scott Michael Foster, Jordi Webber, and Megan Smart. The show follows Cami. She seems to have it all: the perfect job and the perfect boyfriend.

But when two new tempting guys come into her life, she has to choose what she’s going to do next. Or, as is the case here, you have to choose for her. Her happily ever after is all based on the choices you make while watching the show.

One Piece is also coming to Netflix this week! The live-action series based on the popular anime and manga series is coming to Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 31. The series follows a young pirate captain and his crew as they set sail on the open seas. He is looking to become the Pirate King and as any good pirate does, is also looking for treasure. The treasure he seeks is known as “One Piece.”

One Piece and Arrival coming to Netflix this week

This is a highly anticipated remake, and let’s hope it doesn’t crash and burn like other live-action remakes we will not name.

Arrival starring Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner also hits Netflix this week. The award-winning alien movie will be available starting on Friday, Sept. 1. When aliens come to Earth, a linguist is tasked with working with the military to figure out why the aliens are here and what they’re looking for. But with the world on the verge of war, she doesn’t have much time to figure out how to communicate with them.
