3 best Netflix shows to watch (and 2 to skip) this weekend, August 25

Other titles topping the charts in Netflix Shows include the docuseries chronicling one of the most famous cases in recent history, Depp V. Heard, the Matthew Broderick-led Painkiller, a new season of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, and the Mexican drama The Chosen One. 

August is winding down, so the September releases are about to arrive. Several Netflix shows will release new seasons next month, including Disenchantment, Virgin River, and Sex Education.

Suits season 1-8

WATCH! Shows over a decade old rarely make streaming history regarding viewership. But the legal drama Suits has done just that. The streamer currently has seasons 1-8 available, and since its release in June 2023, the series has broken streaming records with 12.8 billion minutes viewed.

If you haven’t watched Suits yet, it is time. The story follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), an underachiever with a photographic memory. He impresses high-profile lawyer Harvey Spector (Gabriel Macht) to the point that he hires him as an associate at his firm. This series also launched the career of Megan Markle.

Ragnarok season 3

SKIP! The Danish series Ragnarok tells the old Norse legend of the end times. Told as an angsty, coming-of-age story, this series looks at what would happen if Ragnarok took place in the modern day. The story is a bit choppy and is low on action, so you can skip it this weekend.

Untold: Swamp Kings limited series

WATCH! The Untold series features a long list of sports documentaries featuring lesser-known stories, whose latest addition is Untold: Swamp Kings. This time, the series focuses on the career of the legendary football coach Urban Myer. A ruthless and demanding coach, Myer would propel the Florida Gaters from underdogs to two-time BCS National Champions. Watch interviews are archive footage of Meyer and the players he coached.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 2

SKIP! The second season of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On has recently been released on Netflix. The premise of this reality series focuses on six couples, with one partner ready to marry and the other not so sure. You can skip this one.

Who Is Erin Carter? limited series

WATCH! The limited British crime thriller Who Is Erin Carter ? is a suspenseful and exciting new series. The series follows mom, wife, and teacher Erin, a quiet woman living in Spain. But when a supermarket robbery occurs, her badass fighting skills are revealed, opening the door to a past life much different than the one she currently lives.
