2. The Perfect Find

The Perfect Find is a low-key, heartwarming, romantic comedy starring Gabrielle Union that was released earlier this summer and mostly flew under the radar. Now is the perfect time to catch up!

Based on the book by Tia Williams, The Perfect Find is about an ambitious 40-year-old careerwoman who is feeling the pressure of her ticking biological clock after getting out of a ten-year relationship. Gabrielle Union stars as the driven and ambitious Jenna. After getting dumped by her long-term boyfriend and kicked out by her mom, Jenna seeks to make a big change by moving to New York City and changing careers.

Jenna’s new job as a creative director provides her with ample opportunity to learn the ropes of the beauty journalism industry, but it also offers her a chance at love with a handsome younger man named Eric. The two hit it off during a night of celebration, so imagine Jenna’s surprise when she discovers that her new fling is her boss’s son. It’s a classic rom-com set-up, but that doesn’t stop The Perfect Find from being charming.
