Is Frasier on Netflix? (where to watch the original series)
By Reed Gaudens
One of television’s longest-running and most successful sitcoms of all time will be making a high-profile comeback. No, Friends and The Office aren’t staging revivals. But fellow NBC heavyweight Frasier will follow up its 11-season, massively decorated run with a new continuation series again starring Kelsey Grammer.
The new iteration of the series, also titled Fraiser, premieres on Oct. 12 on Paramount+, and finds the titular therapist and former radio host back in his old Cheers-days stomping ground of Boston. He navigates his relationship with his adult son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) while embarking on another new chapter of his life and career.
In the original series, Fraiser’s father moves in with him, which causes complications in his already unpredictable life as an on-air psychiatrist in Seattle. Where can fans of the sitcom looking forward to the revival watch all 11 original seasons? Is it on Netflix? Here’s what to know!
Is the original Frasier or revival on Netflix?
Unfortunately, neither Frasier nor the revival are available to stream on Netflix. A few years ago, the complete original series was available to watch on Netflix, but the Emmy-winning sitcom found a new streaming home after the deal expired. However, there are plenty of similar shows to check out on Netflix.
If you’re in the mood for a classic NBC sitcom, all nine seasons of Seinfeld are still available on Netflix as of August 2023. More hilarious titles from the near and distant past worth binge-watching on Netflix include Community, Gilmore Girls, The Good Place, and more.
Where to watch Frasier online
Thankfully, if you’re hoping to rewatch every episode of the original series before the revival debuts in fall 2023, there’s plenty of time and plenty of places to watch. All 11 seasons of the 1993 series are streaming on both Hulu and Paramount+.
As mentioned above, the revival of the same name streams on Paramount+ beginning on Thursday, Oct. 12. The first two episodes of the 10-episode first season will air on Tuesday, Oct. 17 on CBS at 9/8c.
The series also airs weeknights on COZI TV and the complete series has been released on both DVD and Blu-ray sets. Again, there are options available to watch all 264 episodes again and again. Each season has 24 episodes, making for a nice, long binge-watch.
