In Red, White & Royal Blue, Galitzine plays Prince Henry, whose world gets turned upside down in the best way possible thanks to an enemies-to-lovers romance. The actor starred in a similar kind of love story with Netflix’s blockbuster original movie Purple Hearts. Fans of the movie are still keeping their fingers crossed for a sequel.

Is Nicholas Galitzine single?

As of March 2024, Galitzine has confirmed he's been in a relationship for six months. In a profile with The Cut published on March 26, Galitzine mentions his girlfriend without naming her, but he admitted to being a hopeless romantic: "I thought the love affairs of my youth had quashed the hopeless romantic in me, but I think that will always remain."

Galitzine continued gushing about his girlfriend and revealed that this Valentine's Day made him appreciate flowers, since his girlfriend likes them. He even mentioned that he's seen the many paparazzi photos of The Bear star Jeremy Allen White carrying bouqets of flowers (possibly for his own girlfriend, Spanish singer Rosalia). He said, "I think he’s onto something. I’m gonna start buying them."

The news of Galitzine's girlfriend comes a few days after the actor "soft launched" his relationship on Instagram stories with a close-up photo of him holding her hand. He hasn't yet shared another photo on his main feed, though we shouldn't keep our hopes up.

The Idea of You star has kept his personal life rather private, keeping any potential partners off his Instagram profile. Rather, Galitzine mostly posts selfies, promotions of his work, and gatherings with friends and co-workers.

Galitzine has opened up about his romantic life

In a 2019 profile with Wonderland magazine, Galitizine shared the story of how he got into acting. Ironically enough, his entry into the profession began with the pursuit of a relationship. He had originally intended to pursue sports, as a footballer and trained rugby player, but an injury found him taking a different road. While following a crush, he landed an agent.

"There was a girl who was going up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival who I really fancied. I did [the festival] so I could go chase this girl. And I came back with this acting agency."

While he didn't elaborate on the trajectory of that particular relationship, we know we how well his relationship to his work has served him. He's one of the most sought after talents in Hollywood and has been keeping busy since his breakthrough nearly 10 years ago. In a 2023 profile with L'Officiel, Galitzine said that the nature of his job has ended relationships with past girlfriends. Due to traveling to star in different roles, not being in the same place impacted his personal life.

"My last couple of girlfriends, I feel like we’ve had to go our separate ways essentially because of the travel. And it’s difficult. I mean, people who also work in the industry get it, but the job is definitely not conducive to nourishing relationships. And even with my family, it’s really difficult for them to not be able to see me as much as they’d like, because I’m constantly in different countries. I think you find out who the people are that you are really connected with; I’m one of these people who makes the effort to connect. Even if I’m on the other side of the world, if I care about someone, I take the time."

The actor went on to express his admiration for couples in the entertainment industry who are able to make long-term romantic relationships work in spite of the challenges the spotlight and traveling brings, but also noted that at 29, he's still young, enjoying his adventures around the globe, and not putting any additional pressure on himself to settle down. However, maybe the time has come for Galitzine to make his own relationship work.
