The science-fiction comedy, directed by Marc Turtletaub, first premiered at the 2023 Sonoma Film Festival in March. It’s centered around Milton, a man who lives a “quiet life of routine” in a small town in Pennsylvania, per the synopsis. His routine is disrupted when one day, a UFO crashes and lands in his backyard. The two develop a close friendship, and Milton names his new friends Jules.

But when two of his neighbors find out about the extra-terrestrial, the government also gets world. But the light-hearted approach to the story shows how these three neighbors find “meaning and connection” thanks to Jules.

Is the movie Jules streaming on Netflix?

The movies Jules is not streaming on Netflix. The film made its theatrical debut on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. That means for a while, the sci-fi comedy won’t be available to watch anywhere online.

It’s hard to say whether it will eventually stream on Netflix or another platform. Big Beach produced the project, with Bleecker Street acquiring distribution rights. Big Beach produces independent films and there hasn’t really been a consistent pattern as to where Bleecker Street streams movies.

Jules stars Ben Kingsley as Milton, Harriet Sansom Harris as one of the neighbors Sandy, and Jane Curtin as the second neighbor Joyce. Kingsley is a British actor and is known for playing Mahatma Gandhi in the 1982 film Gandhi. Marvel fans will also know the talent, as he plays the character of Trevor Slattery in the MCU. Curtin is known to be one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live, while Harris is known for her roles as Bebe Glazer on Frasier and Felicia Tilman on Desperate Housewives.
