Heartstopper is arguably one of the best teen series streaming on Netflix, and we wouldn’t have this incredible show if it weren’t for the amazing author Alice Oseman. She created the bestselling YA graphic novel series that the show is based on and is also the creator of the series. Hats off to Oseman for her creativity and vision to turn something already wonderful into something even better!

Heartstopper season 1 premiered in April 2022 and was an instant hit. Due to all the success the first season achieved, Netflix quickly greenlit the teen series for a second season. In August 2023, Heartstopper season 2 finally dropped, and although it’s still early, it looks like it’s headed in the right direction to being another great season.

Fortunately, we don’t have to wait for the show to be renewed for a third season. When Netflix renewed Heartstopper for a second season, the streaming giant went ahead and gave the green light for a third season as well. Since it’s still early in the filmmaking process for Heartstopper season 3, we don’t have an official release date yet. But a 2024 release is what we’re expecting at the moment.
