The waiting game is over, Heartstopper fans! Heartstopper season 2 is finally available to stream on Netflix, and it’s time to see what Charlie, Nick, and the rest of their close-knit friend group get up to this season. But there’s one particular character that everyone’s curious about. We’re talking about Imogen Heaney (Rhea Norwood).

Imogen is a year 11 popular student at Higgs Girls School. She’s been friends with Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) since year 7 and had even liked him at one point. However, this crush ends up going nowhere when Nick rejects her in the fifth episode of the first season. Although hurt by the rejection, Imogen remains close friends with Nick.

Spoilers ahead from Heartstopper season 2.

In Heartstopper season 2, Imogen gets over her crush on Nick and becomes romantically interested in someone else. But in the end, this relationship doesn’t go anywhere either. However, Imogen isn’t the type of person to wallow in her sorrows for long.

Even though she ends the second season not in a relationship, it looks like she might have set her sights on an old friend that’s a girl. We’re talking about Sahar Zahid, a new character introduced this season. Sahar is a year 11 student at Higgs. After she’s given the job of organizing the year 11 prom, she becomes friends with Tara, Darcy, and Elle. We later find out that she’s bisexual and was once friends with Imogen.

Is Imogen bisexual in Heartstopper season 2?

Well, Imogen claims she’s an ally in the first season. She even makes a joke about life being easier if she had liked girls after she and Ben break up in season 2. So, technically, Imogen is straight. However, her sexuality might change in the third season. Why? Well, she gives Sahar this “loving look” while she’s performing at the year 11 prom in the season 2 finale. She stares at Sahar as if she’s seeing her in a new light.

Maybe we could be reading into things, but we believe there’s a possibility that we might be seeing Imogen explore her sexuality in the upcoming Heartstopper season 3. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
